After nearly three years, Steve makes a return visit to Nereus. It’s far from a joyful occasion that is only exasperated by excessive heat and humidity. This is, hopefully, the first & last visit to Demopolis, AL before sending a hauler to bring Nereus home.

We hadn’t seen the boat since leaving three years prior. When we left, Nereus was still in the water as river levels were to low for the yard to haul her. Upon arrival, Steve would get a view of Nereus he had seen in a very long time. It would also lend itself to an honest assessment of condition, including where we go from here.
