On October 5, 2002, the Westsail Owners Association held the Desert Rendezvous at Lake Mead Marina, Lake Mead, Nevada. Two of the four local Westsail 32s were leaving the area. As a result, this was the final rendezvous at Lake Mead. The weekend’s focus was the preparation of the two boats for transit. WorldCruiser Yacht Company’s Bud Taplin held a seminar on lowering a mast using the Westsail tabernacle mast step. This video is the record of that seminar.
