Heading out to see ol’ Nereus in Alabama. Kind of nervous, as things were pretty bad last time I was there – three years ago! Was planning to wait until fall to beat the heat, but now, during the hottest part of the season, a window of opportunity has opened, so I’m going. Getting motivated.

It’ll be a quick trip, just a three day weekend, but I’m hoping to get some stuff done. First, unstep the mast. Second, slap on a couple coats of bottom paint. If time is permitting, throw in new batteries, fix the alternator, work on the transmission seal, and call a truck for transport. The rest will have to wait until later.
