A Cruiser’s Charity?
This is a borrowed photo from the facebook page of fellow Westsailor, Terry Shoup. I don’t know it’s origins, but it stirred fond memories of life aboard Nereus and all the “meals” I pumped out, so I figured it worth sharing. It made me laugh.
If you are unsure, this device is a giant vacuum to pump out a boat’s holding tank, hence the sarcastic labeling. I referenced our Marine Sanitation Device in our ship’s log entries of What Can I Say? in New York City and Chumming to Florida, if you wish to gain a more thorough picture of the whole experience.
Enjoy!
